We often find ourselves going through life’s motions. Doing just enough to say that we have done “it” but not truly being all in. We sometimes live life in a reactionary fog, just going through the motions, like a feather in the wind with little to no control and no idea of how to gain control. It is at these times that we become spectators in our own lives. It is at these times when we feel the most powerless.
We all have times that are tougher than others but if you feel this way more often than not, I have one word for you…COMMIT! Be red hot or ice cold but do not be lukewarm. Make up your mind to do something better or to be better and do not allow your indecision to hold you back. According to Anne Morriss, “The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating – in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life.”
