WATER: CRITICAL TO HEALTH

Water covers 70% of the earth and ironically, your body is 70% water. Your brain is 85% water, muscles are 75% water, bones are 35% water, blood is 83% water and your liver is a whopping 90% water! Water is an essential ingredient to optimal health and adequate daily consumption is mandatory if you want to live long and live strong.

Because our bodies are mostly water and we secrete water all throughout the day – whether you’re aware or not – it’s absolutely critical that we replenish our water sources throughout the day. Often times, people wonder whether juice, soda, Gatorade or even Crystal Light is an adequate substitute for water. The answer is a clear and emphatic, “NO”! Any time you add anything to water, the fluid becomes a soft drink and diminishes the value of consuming water in its purest form. Pure spring or filtered water is the best option for one aspiring to reap the benefits of drinking water. Pure water is an odorless, tasteless, clear liquid and is one of the most essential elements to good health. Pure water is necessary for the digestion and absorption of food and nutrients. It helps maintain proper muscle tone, supplies oxygen and nutrients to the cells, rids the body of wastes, contaminants and toxins and serves as a natural air conditioning system. Water regulates the activities of fluids, tissues, cells, lymph, blood and glandular secretions. Health officials emphasize the importance of drinking at least eight glasses of clean water every day to maintain good health; however, optimal health is achieved by drinking a minimum of half of your body weight in ounces.
